Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita(BNS) 2023 is a new set of laws that were introduced and enacted into laws by the Indian Parliament in 2023. These laws have come into force from July 1st, 2024 . This law will replace the already existing Indian Penal Code (IPC). Any offences committed after July 1st, 2024 will attract sections of BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita) rather than the Indian Penal Code.
